The story's simple enough: Donruss, a company which sells trading cards, bought one of three existing New York Yankees jerseys that had been worn by Babe Ruth for about $250,000.

What did Donruss decide to do with this shirt? Cut it up into one-inch squares to be distributed among packages of baseball cards.

You don't have to even like baseball to realize this is wrong. No matter how one may come into a piece of history, one becomes a trustee of that property, and however one might profit from it, destroying it is not as option, notwithstanding the company's statements to the effect that selling the one-inch squares will allow numerous people to enjoy it.

There's no way to crimincall prosecute the persons responsible for this action, but that doesn't mean we can't act to punish Donruss for this deed. So this is my official call to boycott Donruss. Please feel free to add your own opinions below.
