Here's a complaint from Kristy R.:

Thank you for writing your story about Chapel Sales. The sales girl just left my house. My boyfriend was about to buy a subscription, and I went to him and started grilling the girl. She said she was selling these subscriptions to benefit Children's hospital. And if we paid cash she would earn extra points, she hoped to make $1000 to go towards her carreer. I asked her why she didn't just get a real job. I went into our office and looked up Chapel Sales on the computer (BECAUSE I CAN SMELL A RAT A MILE AWAY! AND BECAUSE I LIVE IN A GATED COMMUNITY, AND THE ONLY WAY TO GET IN HERE WITH OUT A GATE OPENER IS TO SNEAK IN) and read your comment.

Anyway, I was finally able to convince my boyfriend that this was a scam, and Chapel Sales got no Sale from us. My girlfriend was also on the phone with me when the bell rang, and she told me she had been duped by the same organization!

For all you unsuspecting kids out there, if somebody wants you to sell candy to "Help kids stay off drugs" or work at all and not get an hourly wage, you are being used and taken advantage of! The people who bus you into upscale neighborhoods to sell their stuff are Con Artists! Get a real job, get paid real money, don't fall for it. They play on the fact that you think you're doing this for a good cause, the same thing they hope the consumer beleives. If you want to do something good, go visit a retirement home, or sick kids in a hospital. Don't go to work for some scumbag who takes advantage of the good in people to rip people off!

Thanks for your advice Kristy!
