On the web site of Orchard Supply Hardware, a home center chain with 86 stores in California, the contact us page at http://www.osh.com/osh/CustomerService/ContactUs.aspx has a space for a message.

The space allowed is about the size of a postage stamp. Of course, you can type more in the space than the visible size of the space for the message, and of course, you can go into another application and cut and paste into this area.

But should that be necessary? Of course, many people will want to do this anyway, but that's besides the point. That they've got such a "user-unfriendly" page provide for customer contact indicates to me that "they're clueless!"
