Rebecca called promising a free 3 day 2 night stay at David Walley's Hot Springs & Spa Resort.
Included in the promotion is a gift certificate. There is a 90-minute tour, it's not a timeshare, they're just using word-of-mouth advertising rather than spending money on advertising, having just gotten 5-star status.
I had some concerns that Rebecca couldn't answer, so she had Chad handle the call. Chad claimed to be licensed by the Nevada Board of Realtors, holding license number 492 from Quintus Resorts. Huh?
I asked him if they were members of the BBB. He claimed he didn't know what the BBB was. When I asked if he had heard of the FTC, he asked what I was talking about.
