No question as you read through these legitimate complaints that the PROBLEM IS DIRECTBUY/UCC !

The franchisees have various specific problems that may be self-inflicted, but overall, ITS THE SHEAR NUMBERS OF COMPLAINTS, OVER TIME, IN VARIOUS MEDIUMS THAT CLEARLY WARN CONSUMERS THAT THE WHOLE SYSTEM IS FAULTY!

Look for the posts from the person in Toronto for a very logical, methodical deconstruction of this scheme. The careful way that Toronto brings sense to the manipulative strategies that DIRECTBUY/UCC defends itself and attempts to lure others to the trap is worth your time. Even if you are here to advertise or apologize for DIRECTBUY/UCC.

No warranties
Add on shipping and "fees" to find that any savings that may have been there, quickly are eaten up by the "extra charges" that reatil already includes.
No oral promises clause allows them to say anything to make a sale then not have to honor what they told you(they lie to you to make a sale)
No refunds no matter what. It is a corporate policy. Even if you never save anything. Even if you never bought anything. Even if they lied to get you to join.

Numerous court cases, media warnings, law enforcement sanctions, and consumer complaints should help you realize how this company will treat you, if you join!

My husband and I recently contact Durect Buy as a result of a cable TV ad. We are planning a major home renovations/remodeling and thought we could save $$. Our invitation arrived today, followed by a courteous and pleasant female employee who was confirming our reservations for the West Palm Beach location. We decided to do some research before attending the highly confidential and strictly monitored orientation on Thursday. We learned, to our great surprise, about Direct Buys disreputable, unethical, and probably illegal business practices. Thank you for sharing your experiences and sparing us a worhtless trip to a worthless organization. I am certain we would have realized that the "program" was not kosher after our visit--it's nice to know before-hand what we could have been up against.
