Once upon a time, DirectBuy did offer Habersham furniture, but according to a post on one of the DirectBuy franchisee web sites, Habersham was choosing to end their relationship with DirectBuy out of repect to dealers who must go to the expense of keeping product on their showroom floor.
We have really no way to know whether this is actually an accurate description of the the circumstances that caused their relationship with DirectBuy to end. It's not unusual, for instance, for such relationships to involve negotiations of price and volume. It may simply have been the case, for instance, that DirectBuy wanted a better price so that they could offer their members a bigger discount, or it may be that Habersham wanted DirectBuy to promise a larger volume of sales.
Whatever the real reason may be, DirectBuy members who had hoped to save thousands of dollars on their Habersham purchases will instead have to go to one of the dealers, or to a company offering Habersham products on the internet, because DirectBuy no longer offers Habersham.
