Chuck began providing details about his company and the vacation he was going to offer me. I indicated I would be taking notes, but he said that I didn't really need to because they would be sending me all the details in writing.
After several minutes, as he was moving towards a closing, I asked about getting the details in writing before making a decision, and Chuck answered that I would have a choice of dates.
I persisted along the lines of getting something in writing before providing a credit card number, and he continued to be evasive, mentioning a deposit, but not saying whether or not it was a refundable deposit.
When I made it clear that I expected to get details in writing before agreeing to making a non-refundable payment, he became abusive, claiming that I wasn't willing to pay for anything, that I was expecting the vacation to be free.
Then I asked him where First Class Vacations was located, and Chuck just hung up on me.
Shortly thereafter, I looked up the phone number for First Class Vacations and when called, I spoke to the General Manager. He claimed that Chuck would not have hung up on me, but that the call was merely disconnected.
I don't know whether First Class Vacations is a reliable operation that truly offers a good value, but clearly they're jerks. I would never do business with them.
