I had occasion to try and get the attention of some executives at Home Depot's credit card operation, so I called the customer service number and they provided me with a mailing address.

Here's the address they gave me:

Presidential Communications
P. O. Box 9058
Gray, TN 37615

I happened to check this address with the USPS web site at http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp and curiously, it stated that mail sent to this address would be returned as undeliverable.

Furthermore, I discovered it was specific to this post office box. For instance, mail for another post office box (in the same thousands range) was fine, but box 9058 was not.

The post office isn't perfect, but I decided to get back with Home Depotb about this.

They confirmed I had the right address, and didn't have any explanation. However, they suggested sending my letter to:

Presidential Communications c/o Home Depot Credit Services
P. O. Box 689146
Des Moines, IA 50368-9146

Anyway, this is either a pretty sneaky way to distract customers from getting their complants through, or simply mismanagement on the part of Home Depot for getting the post office confused about this address and/or failing to keep their customer service folks updated with a correct address.
