Hi Laura,
I would probably never base my opinion of the MK opportunity from sites posted on this board. I have no idea what their business practices, actual time spent, personalities, life perspective, etc., etc.,. were/are so it would be impossible for me to come up with any sort of truth about the opportunity.
In my dh's line of business many have failed at it. Why? Well, mainly because of bad business practices (which includes many things). I'm certainly glad that we didn't listen to the nay sayers based on just their opinion. Mainly because he's been *very successful with his business and he's went to great length to run like it should be.
I personally feel that it really boils down to the man/woman on if they will be successful or not.

Hey Rebekah.......there are many factors in determining success....success for one may seem like failure to another....but, as you say, you won't know til you try. I encourage anyone thinking about it to go for it, but be careful and go in with eyes wide open about some of the facts and issues which have been presented on these boards......such as don't be pressured to do something you don't want to do and be aware that the end of the month is key for directors to make goals and more pressure may be applied to buy inventories......things like that.....if I were wanting to check out a career and found this board, I'd be very appreciative of the information found here by everyone....it's information, not a directive from anyone whether or not to join, just be more informed.
