Furthermore, as this article states, if you are returning product for repurchase upon termination of your 'career', any product not ordered by YOU will be ineligible for refund AND, as stated on the repurchase form, you cannot get the product back. So, say you switched 4 lipsticks for an equal amount of something else during your 'career' with another consultant, then go to return the stuff when you decide to 'quit'...you may or may not get reimbursed for those lipsticks. If you had on record that you ordered 10 and send back 14 (including those 4)....it's my guess, you will NOT get reimbursed for those although you traded them with product you purchased. Since YOU did not purchase them, YOU do not get reimbursed. Be careful ladies....I am STILL learning the hard way.
So much for INDEPENDENT and 'doing business your way'.....I love the part on the inside cover of the career booklet (green striped)...which states that the company has no control over you except for what's outlined in your agreement....they didn't miss a thing did they. We are ENCOURAGED to switch with other consultants by our directors and anyone else, it happens all the time, what is wrong with that???? Why, oh WHY should that be a VIOLATION of our agreement???????????
And this is a GREAT company to work for????????? When they won't let you switch out stuff that someone can use and maintain control over what YOU BOUGHT?????????? PUHLEASE!

This is exactly my issue with MK. You're hardly INDEPENDENT. If anything you're more like a franchise owner ... there are certainly guidelines for what you can and can not do. I think the recruitement methods used by some consultants are misleading. I started MK about two months ago. I've quickly decided that it's not for me. Before signing up, I was upfront with my recruiter(s) about my limited time. I do, however, love the skin care line and will promote it to anyone who asks about it. So I was told that I should sign up if for nothing else "to get a discount on my personal products" - which I use frequently. BUT, the moment I signed I begin to feel the pressure. It started with inventory. I'm not interested in purchasing a great deal of inventory because I realistically won't be selling a great deal of product. This is based on the time, energy and strategy that I've chosen to promote the product. But it seems to be that if you don't promote the product and run the business their way ... you're better off doing something else. I've decided to just buy the product for my own personal use. My main motivation was never $ anyway.
