You don't know that you are the best selling cosmetic company if you keep no records of consultant sales.
You are not an INDEPENDENT consultant with the restrictions the company puts on you. And you are NOT allowed to run your business your way.
How can it be a prize if I have to place $1800 to get it? It is a bribe.
It is not an award if I have to pay to attend the party.
It is not a great opportunity for women. It is a great opportunity for Mary Kay's pockets. I mean if you think about all the success in the company it is made off the low man on the pole. You recruit and make money of the guy below you as they place orders. Then the person who recruited you makes money off you and your recruits. And so on up the pole.
It is not debt, it's investment. (this one is my favorite) IT IS DEBT WHEN YOU OWE MONEY. Investment goes away and becomes + signs.

This made me laugh out loud ---> "It is not an award if I have to pay to attend the party."
I guess you can call me a critical thinker, but I realized this quite early in my MK journey (i.e. within the first week of dealing with inventory pressures). I have the means to purchase a $1800 order, but I'm not doing it. It's not reasonable for me. I hardly sell the product ... I don't have time and I have other priorities. I realized quite early that MK loves recruiting a person like me, but doesn't want a person like me as a consultant. Because I didn't get in it to make $. I just personally like the product and will promote it to people if the opportunity arises. I also planned to do a few 'parties' during the year. But I realized early that I don't FIT. This is why I quit.
