I have been a Mary Kay Consultant for almost two years now. I saw this as an opportunity to work for myself and do what I want, when I want it. I believe in the products that we sell, but as far as the company itself, I do not like it at all. It is completely wrong and ineffective for consultants to get commission on what their downlines BUYS from the company. They only care if you buy the product, not if you sell it. It doesn't matter to the people above you because they already made their money! It's horrible! The goals and ideas promoted in this company are completely valid, but the way they go about it isn't very effective and successful. Yes, of course, there are women who are doing very well in this business, but there are a lot more who are not! We have almost been brainwashed and taken advantage of and it's horrible!

Recently, I have become involved in another network marketing company. In this company, we get commission on what people SELL, not what they BUY. This is a people helping people business - I can make money by either selling myself OR by helping other people sell. This is a company that has been around since 1972 and is traded on the New York Stock Exchange. The company is called Prepaid Legal Services, Inc. It offers people an unbelievable opportunity to do all the things that you want to WHEN you want to do them. And, there is no inventory! This is the ONLY company in the United States to offer the services that it does - we have NO competition. Anyone can get makeup from hundreds of places. I am soo extremely excited about this company. I have made more money over the past two weeks in commissions with this company than I did in two years with Mary Kay. I am not bashing Mary Kay, I just don't think that it is an opportunity that fits everyone. I encourage you women to not give up! Financial freedom and independence IS possible! Reach for the sky!

WHOAAAAAAAAAA girl! What's this, a recruiting pitch? Here we go with the promise of "financial freedom & independence" and I guess instead of saying "Sky's the Limit" in Mary Kay, we see that we "reach for the sky" in this MLM. I think it would be much harder to get people to pay for legal services IN ADVANCE than it would to buy a moisturizer. Do your homework ladies, this pitch is intense, I have a gal at work who was approached by it, same ol stuff, different product, recruiting a must!
