This business is like any other business you start. It works if you do. Nobody pressures you to have inventory but if you plan to really work your business it really helps to have it on hand. Then you don't have to put an order in everytime you need one little thing!
It's cost efficient and any other "store" would need much more inventory than what I have on my shelf. And you don't have to run around to make deliveries that way, either. I wouldn't give up my MK business for anything!
I'd be happy to talk to you about becoming a MK Consultant. Just log in to http://www.marykay.com/LLBarclay

With her enthusiasm and work ethic, she's probably an Exec. Director by now :-) As for the website? It could have changed, who knows, do you really care one way or the other? However, since this appears to be important information for you, why not call MK consultant/director locator for the "facts?"
When people come here and make firm claims that you didn't work your business and that's why you failed - wouldn't you be curious to hear of these successes from those who DO work their business?
This IS a discussion board, so we are trying to engage these women in discussion about how they are doing now - but each and every time we call them to discuss or back up their claims - they disappear. Hmmm.
Those of us who have been there done that freely tell visitors to this site via our posts all about our poor decisions and our experiences - so why are those who claim they are doing so great so silent about exactly how they are doing on a consistent basis?
