Wow, I have read many horror stories here and feel so lucky that I found a direct sales company that doesn't require me to keep inventory. In matter of fact they ship directly to my customer after the order is placed. When setting up the pay plan she looked at the consultants as her business partners not her customers. I use to have a brick and morter store and know what it takes to inventory "your store". Yes you can go in to debt with no promise of sales. Direct sales does make alot of people very wealthy but you must be careful. I thank God for Ace Hawkins with Nouveau Cosmecuticals to see the problem of other companies and decided to be different! for more information http://www.iwanthealthyskin.com

This person below is obviously sick!!! I cannot ever imagine having $12,000 in inventory and blaming it on someone else. You did it yourself. You have a shopping sickness. I run my business like it should and I benefit from it. Your husband left an addict not a Mary Kay consultant.

You need to take this off and quit blaming my wonderful company.

I must agree that the direct sales buisness, Mary Kay Cosmetics, preys on desperate women looking for finacial freedom. They have the best marketing plan known to anyone. Have a party, look at all your friends and family buying these great products! (I am the first to admit Mary Kay Cosmetics really are wonderful.) Next you watch this fabulously successful women, in her "free" car, drive away with hundreds of dollars in PROFIT! Yes mmam, that is all it really takes and the very next thing you have is thousands of dollards worth of inventory, spurned on by the prizes, recognition and incentives. You have mo money, no one to care for your kids, and don't be fooled into thinking selling Mary Kay takes only a couple of hours a day, your husband might have left and you are no way to recover from this tragedy!

I fell for this scheme just as millions of women do. I am $12,000.00 dollars in debt, my husband did leave, and I have to be home with my kids! I put my heart and soul into selling Mary Kay, and I DID MAKE LOTS OF MONEY, in the begining. However, I was away from my home or on the phone up to 16 hours every day. My ex-husband sure didn't take to that, and I don't blame him!

I'll have much more to tell you soon. As of right now I am doing my best to try and get some of the money I spent back by selling my inventory on ioffer.com

Please wish me luck, stay away from the Mary Kay Business and pray. My cancer will not keep me down!
