Jury Orders Mary Kay to Pay TriStrata $26.4 Million Tuesday March 15, 2:08 pm ET
NeoStrata Case for Patent Infringement Won against Mary Kay Inc. and Validity of Key Patents Upheld by a Jury in the U.S. District Court in Delaware
PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 2005-- TriStrata Technology, Inc. ("TTI") won its patent infringement suit against Mary Kay Inc., when the jury in the United States District Court in Wilmington, DE found that 14 claims of the three patents at issue were infringed and ordered Mary Kay to pay $26.4 million plus interest to TTI.
TTI is a wholly owned subsidiary of NeoStrata Company, Inc., founded by Ruey J. Yu, O.M.D., Ph.D. and Eugene J. Van Scott, M.D., who are widely recognized as pioneers in alpha-hydroxyacid skin care technology and the inventors of more than 125 patents relating to alpha-hydroxyacids and other skin care technology.
