I never liked Mary Kay for years because of pushy, uppidty sales reps. Since meeting a woman that was very nice, I gave Mary Kay a try again. She immediately started pushing that I should sell Mary Kay because I would be good at it. She was quite the con artist. Gave it a try but quickly learned that I don't know anyone who likes and uses Mary Kay products. Their biggest complaint was price and accessibilty. So any sales that I make are based on cold calls. The dress code is so insulting that I refuse to attend any of the phony events. The rep that signed me up kept pushing getting all dolled up for rewards and raved about the prizes. Turns out that the prizes are based on order sizes not sales ability. As for dressing up, I told her repeatedly that I do not like to dress up - especially for a silly meeting. I attended one of her meetings and found them to be very boring. She charges $5 a week to attend and insists that you wear skirts and closed toe shoes. But she kept all that a secret until after she suckered me in. What I have learned from my Mary Kay experience is to trust your instincts regarding the company and do not trust their sales reps. I contacted the sales rep to get a form to return the unsold products but she won't respond. Now that impresses me even more! I read alot of comments from others that had tried to sell or were currently selling and even talked to past sales reps. I thought I could do it but there was so much that I didn't learn until after I committed to selling that would have stopped me upfront. At any rate, the rep that conned me has lost my business and so has Mary Kay. Once I get rid of the stuff I purchased (which wasn't much) I will not use their products again. I can't support that kind of a company.

You can contact the repurchase dept at 972-687-4700 to get the form to return your product. You can return anything you purchased a year prior to the date of return - for example, if you call and get the form and corporate RECEIVES it by the end of the month - you'll get credit for all that you bought for the past 12 months - so if you purchased a large amount in say , april last year, don't wait til May to return it, every month you wait, a month drops off -see?
Your director does not need to sign the form and it takes about 6 weeks to get your check. They'll give you an amount in retail value which you can return, so divide that in half (the amount) and return that. You get the tax back on retail value less the value of any 'star' prizes you received.
