How can you blame a company that offers you to buy into your own business and then blame them for you not working it?
Whatever do you think she means by this?

Well, shoot, we all know that MK is on the up and up thru and thru and all of us who left are just losers and quitters and unethical people who just don't work our business. Let's see, this group (losers & quitters) is comprised of professional and non-professional women from all walks of life who have been able to get degrees, open their own businesses (real ones), experience success in corporate America at all levels and have families and happy households - yet just because they didn't make it in MK the MLM against all odds associated with MLM's - THEY are to blame? I think not. It's the system! No doubt.
Oh, and I wanted to say HI to my little friend out there - "Concerned Reader" - thanks again for the 'nice' email you sent me - I appreciate your efforts to snuff me out - it's just another of the mean-spirited mails we negative nellies get who now possess 'lack of judgement' just because we have a different viewpoint of MK. Gosh, you women can be mean, it kills me that YOU call yourselves POSITIVE and people who think realistically NEGATIVE - it's another smokescreen from MK - illusions - now with defining simple things like Right from Wrong and Positive from Negative - you're so in the fog you can no longer tell the difference!
It's WRONG for people to cheat their way up by inventory loading and using other ID's to place orders under - now that Seminar is up and coming, more and more of this will be going on. Everyone knows June 29 & June 30 are the two biggest "SELLING" days in MK - ha! SELLING????? Or are they ORDERING days to Attain something - now tell me what the heck kind of legitimate business is that? To have to meet quotas and maintain quotas by inventory orders of others - inventory which may not ever be sold - but then credit it to 'sales' and reward and recognize for 'sales' which are no more than unsold product purchased from the company! Get REAL already.
I DO know women who actually sell the product and make more than they did as a director by actually selling and servicing customers - to them be the glory - but not to frontloading inventory preditors.

It's really fairly common that commissioned salespersons working on a bonus system will make efforts to inflate sales at quarter end. In one large company, it was reported that this was accomplished by entering orders just before the end of the quarter and cancelling them on the first day of the next quarter. This made it more difficult to achieve quota the following quarter, but that is of course tomorrow's problem.
In this case, the company had a financial incentive to try to curb such behavior, which was tantamount to stealing from the company.
When Mary Kay Beauty Consultants do this, they're not stealing from Mary Kay, they're paying Mary Kay. Awards based on sales rank, of course, may deprive more deserving consultants of an award, but a contest that depends on spending the most money is not a good one to be participating in.
On the other hand, running a contest like this is great. You shouldn't expect Mary Kay to try and curb this kind of behavior, any more than you would expect someone with a J.O.B. to ask their boss to cut their pay.
As a practical matter, I don't think Mary Kay could effectively curb this behavior if they wanted to. In this case, what's good for Mary Kay is bad for consultants.
Such contests are not appropriate for a direct sales organization consisting of people running their own business. Mary Kay's beauty consultants deserve to be compesnated for the business they bring to the company, without regard to reward levels or sales contests.
Consultants should expect to receive compensation based directly on their success at moving product, not on contests and quotas which distort their business decisions.
