I feel you are wrong. I have been in the company now for 1 month and have never been pushed to buy more than I wanted to purchase. No one twisted your arm to make you buy your products. You have to know what you can afford and not go over that amount. You have to Manage your Money properly. You should put that in your little Mary Kay bashing website instead of blaming Mary Kay The Ladies or Men Should look at them selves. And not be so selfish and think I need to have that prize. If you get well and good if not then try a little harder next time. The prizes are not for someone who purchase all the items for themselves it is for those who sold them to people.I want to hear your comments on what I have said so please email me back.
There's a lesson for all prospective Mary Kay participants to take back from these experiences, and that lesson isn't necessarily not to become Mary Kay Beauty Consultants, but to watch out for yourself, because you can't assume your director is going to watch out for you.

Why is it that when a new MK person see's 'the other side' and YES Jeni, there is 'another side' - you're just too new to see it, you may never see it, but don't discount those who have seen it. They DO give prizes for UNSOLD product via orders placed - and you are half-right in that they do give small prizes for actual sales. Shoot, we'd get a pencil or even a candy bar for a $100 day! Wahoo!
You must not be reading Eli's site, because it is not all about MK bashing - I fail to understand the logic behind "THE MEN SHOULD LOOK AT THEMSELVES" - if you are referring to husbands on this site - they are merely stating their observations about what their wives endured. Some in MK teach to disrespect and hide things from their husbands - if husbands say anything, THEY are labeled 'unsupportive' just like if we say anything but fluff about MK, WE are labeled 'negative'.
I'd like you to answer why you include husbands in your charge that people need to look at themselves. What'd the husbands do?
I take from your mail, that you are making general claims in defense of MK without a history of experience - that's just unwise. In other words, you have not walked in other's shoes - so you cannot speak about it one way or another - so why do you? I would suggest you take that reality and apply it to other areas of your life.
