I am so sorry you feel this way. You say you sell to a select group of women,
but how can you do that when you truly don't believe in the company.
I am a star recruiter and grand achiever with Mary Kay. I am going on target to win my first car at the end of this month. I have not maxed out any of my credit cards.
I did it by old fashion hard work. Your team of woman that you recruit help you move up, and in Mary Kay if you are not willing to help others move up with you then it's the wrong business.
I was never pushed to buy inventory, that's a decision you make on your own.
Some woman start out with inventory, and others only buy as they are getting in orders. I would really like to know where you were recruited because it sounds that you are really misinformed.
Mary Kay has allowed me to be a stay at home mom to my 3 year old, but most
importantly it has helped me grow as a person.
Complete Idiot
Dear Complete Idiot,
I should explain why I signed you as "complete idiot", but on the other hand, I don't know if I need to.
Let's see how many points you've made that qualify you for this title:
- You say you sell to a select group of women, but how can you do that when you truly don't believe in the company.
- It means that I think there are some people I know who want the Mary Kay product; Mary Kay will sell that product to me at a discount, and I have absolutely no problem with selling that product to other people who want the product. The part I don't believe in is trying to suck other people into the program by lying to them about how it's such a wonderful opportunity. Idiot!
- I am going on target to win my first car at the end of this month. I have not maxed out any of my credit cards. I did it by old fashion hard work. Your team of woman that you recruit help you move up, and in Mary Kay if you are not willing to help others move up with you then it's the wrong business.
- Well aren't you special that you've been able to build the size and volume of your unit so that you can get a car? I presume that you cautioned every new recruit about the risks of spending too much on inventory before you've had the opportunity to build your business... and congratulations on being recruited by a similarly ethical director. Had I followed my director's model, I would have been using psychological tricks to get the recruits to do whatever was necessary to load up on inventory. I guess my mistake was choosing the wrong director. That's how I would have been helping others, right? Idiot!
- I was never pushed to buy inventory, that's a decision you make on your own. Some woman start out with inventory, and others only buy as they are getting in orders. I would really like to know where you were recruited because it sounds that you are really misinformed.
- If Mary Kay were truly a business where people are willing to help others succeed with them, you ought to be able to rely on those others to provide you with good advice about how to run your business. The reality is that whoever's recruiting you does everything possible to give you the impression this business is all about mutual concern, but in reality, directors have explicit incentives to front load new recruits, and this is a fairly common practice, regardless of the number of exceptions. Idiot!
By my count, that's three for three, more than enough to deserve the title of "Complete Idiot".
