Mary Kay does not promise a golden business opportunity, it offers one. MK supplies you with the tools to be successful, they give you a fantastic product to sell (and I have not had an unhappy customer yet!), and they give you the opportunity to climb the career ladder of success, i dont think that toilet cleaners have a career path do they?
I have only been a consultant for 2 months and already i have sold $3000 in products, thats $1500 for less than 5 hours work. You would have to clean alot of toilets to get that! plus i have recieved over $1000 in free products for myself.
I was a paying customer for 2 years before I became a MK consultant, and I was extremely happy with the product and my customer service, and I thank my director every time I see her for giving me this opportunity to become a proffessional.
I have a three year old son and my partner of 12 years has been left severely brain injured and in a wheelchair, yet I still find time to look after my family and run a successful business. I only work 4-6 hours a fortnight and I choose my own hours to do it.
everyone that I know has told me how much happier I am since begining with MK, and that its nice to see me smile. How could working, socialising, making money and making other women feel good about themselves be such a bad thing?
I believe you are only as successful as you choose to be. So when you wiegh up the differences of working 30-40 hours a week to make money for someone else, and only working 3-5 hours aweek to make money for you, your team members, your directors, and your company seems much more appealing all whilst you climb the career path. what promotion comes after toilets?
All of the MK consultants and directors that I know (which is about 60) are all extremely happy with, proud of and successful with thier business.
Toilet Cleaner Rejector
First, I want to encourage just a little bit of decorum, so I'm going to make a rule for this forum:
Only the wikimaster may call someone an idiot.
Some will say this is hypocritical, so I'll have to make up another rule:
Objections to said hypocrisy will not be entertained.
Look, really, I'm so happy you've found fulfillment in Mary Kay. Honestly, I think it's wrong of you to disdain sales of toilet cleaners and related products. Think "Fuller Brush".
It seems like you have some pretty special talent, because in just 60 days, you've gotten to know all of these directors and consultants well enough to conclude that they're really happy, and they weren't just saying that to seduce you into increasing your committment to Mary Kay.
Seriously, I'm not being cynical. Everything you say may be completely true. But seriously, just because other people have different experiences doesn't invalidate their experiences.
Even if only a relative handful of people who join Mary Kay have a problem with it, it's worth hearing about those problems so others can understand what the problems are, how they would affect them, and whether there's a way to avoid the problem.
It's hard to know what to believe... you're evidently earning $300 an hour, but at the end of the day, you're only working enough hours to make about $40,000 a year.
In no way would I want to piss on that level of income, it's good! But couldn't you find just another couple of hours a week so you could double it? I'm not saying to go overboard and try to work full time or anywhere near it. But it's a shame to make such a limited effort when you're having such fantastic success!
