Hi Everyone, I just received a wonderful call from a New Consultant in VA. She had many questions about Mary Kay and is becoming quite confused by all the various opinions on here. My heart goes out to everyone who feels that they have had a bad experience with their Mary Kay mentors. I am a Sales Director, Wendy Turnidge and you are welcome to call me at (612) 588-1569. I began my business 7 1/2 years ago with much skepticism. I had been in a true MLM a few years before and they NEVER cared about selling the products, just recruiting. They never tried to train me or go with me to people's homes and teach me to sell. I can tell you that 99% of the Directors I know, including myself, are always available to train via phone or in person and each and every week we offer training meetings. If you don't like the one you attended, you can go to another one. You are never obligated to go to just 1 meeting. I always tell my consultants that if they don't get from me what they need, I am very willing to find them an Adopted Director who they may connect better with. This is the beauty of our Adoptee program in Mary Kay. I have heard over and over in the messages on here that people have not connected with their recruiter or Director. My advice is to find an adopted Director or simply call your National Sales Director and ask her to find you someone...there is a great support system in Mary Kay! Please use it! As far as the inventory goes, I stand firm and say that you need to start with a Debut or Skin Care Class to get your first sales and that can help you make an inventory decision or help you sell what you have. Then start with some teleconference training calls. If your Director doesn't offer these, call me and you can be on ours. They are free except for long distance but you can be on these weekly if you like and have your training from the comfort of your home. This business is truly awesome and I have 90 Unit Members and a Grand Prix but I have not achieved this alone, my successful consultants AND I have achieved this together. I work my butt off with my consultants to make sure they are trained and educated. Please, please, please, tap into your Director or into an Adopted Director. This business is too wonderful to set aside and if you know you are meant to be here, then you deserve to get the best training available. Once you get into Mary Kay, Mary Kay will get into you. {Please, if you have questions or need ideas, call me. Wendy Turnidge (612) 588-1569, I am very happy to give you ideas on selling your products and how to meet your customers. It's not as hard as you think it is but you may just need a little help with some ideas.) Wendy Turnidge (612) 588-1569 user mkwendy1 at domain mn.rr.com
